It features guest vocals by Katy Perry and would be the first single she appeared on before promoting her major label debut album in 2007. The track was later included on Greatest Hits: The Atlantic Years in 2006. \"Goodbye for Now\" received considerable radio play and was used in promotional videos for the film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. It is the band\'s most successful single since 2002\'s \"Youth of the Nation\" and reached #47 on the Billboard Hot 100 on January 31, 2006 (making it their third Hot 100 entry and Top 50 hit), #41 on the Billboard Pop 100, #25 on the U.S. Modern Rock Tracks, and #17 on the U.S. Mainstream Rock Tracks.
