Oops!...I Did It Again is the second studio album by American pop singer Britney Spears, released on May 16, 2000 on Jive Records.[3] The album debuted at number one in the U.S, selling 1,319,193 units during its first week of sales,[4][5][6][7] the album dominated the U.S. retail markets on May 16 in its first day in stores according to a survey of retail outlets,[8] after moving 500,000 units in its first day of release breaking the SoundScan record for the highest sales in its debut week by any solo artist.[9] The album contains Britney's first writing credit on one of her albums, for "Dear Diary".[10] This was her second album to received a diamond certification denoting over 10 million shipments sold in the United States according to the Recording Industry Association of America.[11] The album produced three hit singles: her third UK number-one single "Oops!...I Did It Again",[12] "Lucky" and "Stronger". In addition, "Oops!...I Did It Again" has sold over 19 million copies worldwide since 2000.[13]
