When Jan Curtis has committed suicide, the remained members «Joy Division» Bernard Samner ( on January, 4th 1956, a guitar, a vocal), Peter Huk ( on February, 13th 1956, a bass), Stephen Morris (the rivers on October, 28th 1957, shock) have continued the activity under a signboard «New Order». Samner has incurred vocal duties, and the trio has first of all made small tour on States. Soon in the company of guys there was girl-friend Morrisa Dzhillian Gilbert (the river on January, 27th 1961, keyboard, a guitar). In 1981 updated structure has written down the first album, «Movement». The same year the single «Ceremony» has appeared in British the Top 40. Though the deep bass line and continuous "knocking" shock remained firm counters since «Joy Division», the vocal of Samnera was rather weak also it uncertainly felt in a role frontman.
Has passed two years while Bernard hasn't accustomed to a new role. Besides on «Power, Corruption And Lies» advances with electronics that turned out at musicians very much even not bad have begun. The 12-inch single which has left at that time «Blue Monday» became the most sold release of all times in England.
«New order» have continued to move in "a dancing" direction, having cooperated with hip-hop producer Arthur Bejkerom with whom singles «Confusion» (1983) and «Thieves Like Us» (1984) have been written down. In 1985 there was, perhaps, most attractive album of group, «Low Life», accompanied by hit singles «Perfect Kiss» and «Subculture». The following disk though comprised quite good bagatelles of type «Bizarre Love Triangle», didn't bear in itself anything new. One year there was a collection of remixes and compositions from singles under the name «Substance» later.
