Alkaline Trio - a melodik-pank trio from Chicago, a combination of a simple punk rock, alternative, at times heavy, and the drama, emotional lyrics with themes of alcoholism, suffering, black humour and death.

The group has been based in 1996, originally consisted from: Matt Skib (a vocal, a guitar), Rob Doran (a bass, a vocal) and Glenn Porter (drums, a vocal). After release Sundials EP in 1997 Robert Doran has been replaced by the former bass player «Slapstick» Danom Andriano. Their first full album under name Goddamnit has been let out in the end of 1998. After release Goddamnit, trios have let out two more albums in 2000. In 2001 there was a considerable change of structure. Mike Felumli has been replaced by the former drummer The Suicide Machines Derek the Grant which and remained in group Hide review
