The Velvet Underground — the cult American rock group of 1960 and 1970th years which were at the beginnings of alternative music. The name often reduce to V.U. Or The Velvets. The group history originates in 1964. At that time Lu Read (on March, 2nd 1942) played the river insignificant garage groups, and also worked as the author of songs for label Pickwick Records.
