Ladytron - English group formed in 1998. The group name is connected with song Ladytron from the debut album of 1972 of group Roxy Music with the same name.

The group structure is an embodiment of a modern globalism. Englishman Denni Hunt (Danny Hunt) and Chinese Reuben Wu, whose basic employment were club DJ performances both in England, and in continental Europe, on one of the concerts have met MMira Aroyo, the native of Bulgaria and the talented vocalist. A bit later the girlfriend has joined a Trinity the Worlds Helen Marnie, the vocalist come from Glasgow.

In 1999, having spent only 50 pounds, the group has written down the first single He Took Her To A Movie. A circulation part have providently dispatched on editions of leading musical magazines. Their debut work has deserved basically positive responses, and readers of magazine «New Musical Express train» even named record by a single of week. Singles Playgirl and Open Your Heart have been Afterwards let out, and in 2000 there was minidisk Commodore Rock (Commodore 64 — the computer on which musician Rob Hubbard known in certain circles, wrote music for computer games of 80th years). In 2001 the first album — 604 has been let out, and in 2002 the second album — Light and Magic which record passed to California (USA) has followed. In support of each album Ladytron spent multimonthly rounds across Europe and America. In 2005 there was a third album Witching Hour, and the group has again gone to almost two-year concert round, having acted, including, summer of 2006 and at festival "Stereosummer" in St.-Petersburg: it was the first concert of group in Russia.
